Frequently Asked Questions about BlackAxiom's applied AI solutions

What is a predictive model?

A predictive model is a statistical machine learning model that is trained on SCADA data and is able to predict certain key variables that are important to operate wind energy assets. For example, one can use historical failures of wind turbines and build a predictive model that can detect if a turbine is also going to break in the near future. Acting early, to avoid major failures that represent big financial impact with repair, replacement and downtime costs.

How can BlackAxiom help us manage our assets?

We design data infrastructure systems and predictive models that help asset managers get high quality information about their assets. This information allows them to avoid expensive repairs, adjust operational settings, and optimize the performance of their energy assets to increase the financial performance.

How is your approach different from traditional consulting firms?

We are not a consulting firm; we are a data and AI technology firm. Our objective is to deploy in real operations 24/7 intelligent systems that help act on energy assets. Our job is not finished until more energy is produced and more returns are obtained.

Do you offer technical implementation or just strategy?

We can provide strategic input for a technology team, but our core capabilities are implementing data infrastructure and deploying predictive models with applied AI that actually help act on energy production.

Are your solutions scalable for global operations?

Yes, by definition. We operate with the utmost scientific rigor. Our founder, Albert Celma, was graduated with honors at Imperial College London, where he researched with Nevada Energy how to develop highly transferable machine learning models for the wind energy. Blackaxiom's approach is, by definition, highly transferable. We want to leverage data from one asset to a global portfolio.

How do we get started with BlackAxiom?

Just send us an email. We will be promptly talking and strategizing how to deploy the best AI on your assets. From solar to wind to BESS. We are ready to deploy AI.
